Rennie Harris Puremovement

What I saw last night. Rennie Harris Puremovement at the Joyce Theater. IMG_4019The first piece is hip-hop to p-funk. A logical coupling. The second piece was hip-hop to Romeo & Juliet with the females being virtual and the music of Yes and Queen. The third piece was men and women taking turns in the spotlight demonstrating their skills. The fourth piece was a militant hip-hop march with dancers moving like SWAT. The final piece was a lot like the third but I am not complaining.

Elements: spoken word
Titles: “P-Funk” “Rome & Jewels” “Continuum” “March of the Antmen” “Students of the Asphalt Jungle”
