Tess Dworman & Niv Acosta

What I saw last night. Tess Dworman and Niv Acosta at New York Live Arts. IMG_4020A shared evening. In the first piece three women form a heap behind two cardboard trees. They later shake like they have a palsy and make leaking sounds.

In the second piece a transgendered man rolls around and sings in front of his mom and a 9 piece band that plays just one song. Later his mom sings a song and then he climbs up behind a wall to make a speech and play some terrible trombone. Things conclude with him repeatedly running into a wall and falling down.

This is why the seatfiller exists.

Elements: spoken word, singing, cardboard trees, live music
