Paul Taylor Dance Company “Fibers”

What I saw last night. Paul Taylor Dance Company at Lincoln Center. IMG_4120The first piece is all flowing skirts and running across the stage. The second piece is a bizarre quartet where the men wear little more than bandages and Mexican masks while the women are in white unitards and face paint. The third piece is Shakespeare by way of Benny Hill or the Marx Brothers. The final piece is down on their luck hobos in an aw shucks mode.

Elements: string tree, string costumes, masks, imploring hands, baby bump
Titles: “Perpetual Dawn” “Fibers” “Troilus and Cressida (reduced)” “Black Tuesday”
