Tap City “Tap & Song”

What I saw last night. Tap City at Symphony Space. IMG_4435Not a beer hall but a tap variety show. There were too many acts to describe all the pieces. A lot of tepid singing but some fair tap dancing. Best was a very tall man dancing at the front of the stage. A tap dancer on sand. A vaudeville like duo that tapped on silver trays and a guy who managed to successfully tap to Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’”

Elements: live music, singing, sand, trays
Titles:“Hey Boy, Hey Girl” “The Tall & Short of it” “Moving Music” “Jump-Did-Le-Ba” “Samba Do Barba” “I Wanna be a Dancin’ Man”  “Tap & Tray” “Nearness of You” “Caravan” “Girl on Fire” “End of the World” “Softy Shoes” “The Times They Are A-Changin’” “Guia & Fuga”
