Mikhailovsky Ballet “The Flames of Paris”

What I saw last night. Mikhailovsky Ballet at Lincoln Center. IMG_4825In the first act a peasant is beaten in front of his children for collecting wood and then there is a big ball and an actor is shot. Seems like enough for a whole show but it goes on with revolutionaries storming the gates both on film and in dance. Sadly one of the ballet dancer revolutionaries is shot but otherwise they have victory. Final act is much rejoicing with a wedding and endless jumps and turns.

Elements: film, swords, small child, guns, fake flames
Title:“The Flames of Paris” with Ivan Vasiliev and Oksana Bondareva
